GGHN provided support to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in training the second cohort of the Improving Public Health for Action (IMPACT) program in Abuja. The Improving Public Health for Action (IMPACT) is a United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) professional development fellowship for mid-level managers. It aims to strengthen their skills in implementing public health programs to secure and keep the world safe from the threat of known and emerging infectious diseases. As the NCDC continued the 6-modular training, two GGHN staff who were graduates of the pioneer cohort supported the initiative through facilitation and mentorship throughout the 5-day exercise.
